Mohamed Hefzy to Receive Inaugural Cultural Impact Award at San Francisco Arab Film Festival
The San Francisco Arab Film Festival has announced Egyptian producer Mohamed Hefzy as the Guest of Honor for its milestone 30th edition, making him the first-ever recipient of the newly established AFMI Luminary Award for Cultural Impact.

Hefzy will be formally honored during a special ceremony in his presence prior to the festival’s opening night screening. The award recognizes his prolific career and pioneering contributions to elevating Arab cinema and building cross-cultural bridges on the international stage.

Expressing his delight at the recognition, Mohamed Hefzy stated:

"I am honored to be the first recipient of the Luminary Award for Cultural Impact from the San Francisco Arab Film Festival.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, it stands as the oldest running Arab film festival outside the Arab world. This award means a great deal to me at a time when we need as many Arab voices as possible to share our narratives on global platforms."
